Dance, Abbie, Dance!

Abbie's recital was this weekend and she was fantastic! No stage fright, big smiles and she really tried her best. She looked so sweet and she was the belle of the ball. As the youngest student at the dance school, she really had the audience paying attention. We're so proud of her!!

Camp Chippewa Trails this week

This week Meg & El are going to day camp. Last year there wasn't a camp director, but a very active GS leader and SUM took over the camp and opened it back up this year. So far the girls are having a fantastic time! Ellie was thrilled when she found out that she gets to go every day this week, I wonder if she will be disappointed when she doesn't go next week.

Bob registered for Summer Session classes this morning, so he is officially going back to school. His classes start next week and we are both very excited. Bob should be finished in about a year or so.

Summer has arrived!
We've returned from our first summer camping trip and we're looking forward to the rest of the summer.

Our first trip was to the UP where we spent 5 nights in Paradise with the Tyrrell family. Yes, that's right, we were in Paradise, Michigan, camping at the Andrus Lake State Forest Campground. We had a fantastic time, a beautiful campsite and lots of sun and mild weather. While we were there we visited Tahquamenon Falls,Whitefish Point Lighthouse and the Shipwreck Museum. Abbie was excited because she thought we were going to the "Shrek Museum". Even though there weren't any Ogres, she had a good time as did all the girls.

For the second leg of our trip we landed in Oscoda, Michigan, at Old Orchard Park. Old Orchard is a huge campground that we visited last year and really liked. This trip it was cold, rainy and pretty low key. We ended up heading home a day early, since the weather never did shape up. The girls had fun playing at the camp playground and we did a lot of napping, sitting by the campfire and just hanging out.

Here we are at the Lower Tahquamenon Falls.
